Utdala farm is placed in a picturesque neighbourhood with an interesting history and a rich cultural traditions on a varied agricultural and forest land. From the farm spreads a beautiful view of a lake. We accommodate our guests in one of the farm wings and a living quater on the neighbouring farm Kärra, in a climate of the eighteenth century in newly renovated houses with high standard. The houses are adapted to preparing meals individually.

Except fishing, the neighbourhood offers forests rich in mushrooms and berries as well as fantastic opportunity to get tanned and swim within desolate sunheated rocks. You can also admire a beautiful sunset on a pier or get onto a boat and sail to see one of the desert islands on Åsunden Lake.

Astrid Lindgren’s world in Vimmerby and zoological garden Kolmården, near Norrköping, are only some of many attractions suitable for one day excursions for the whole family.

Utdala

Utdala, where we live, in the main building of the farm, is beautifully placed between Åsunden and Nimmern Lakes. This place has been inhabited since the Middle Ages. Forestry and farming economy in Utdala is oriented on cattle-breeding. The farmland of Utdala is situated on a peninsula of Åsunden lake. The farm has its own pier with fishing- and recreation boats. Nearby there is a watering place with a sandy beach even for the youngest children.

Kärra

Kärra farm is located on a peninsula in eastern part of Åsunden Lake. It consists of lands placed nearby the beaches and islands offering great opportunities of getting tanned and swimming at one of the desert islands or in a watering place with a pier, grill place and wonderful evening sun. The farm does forestry and farming economy as well as ecological sheep breeding.  Our guests live in the main building containing two apartments, which can be hired separately or together. Next to the house there is a big garden with garden furniture and a place to grill at our guest’s disposal.
